About Dead to Me
Dead to Me is an American dark comedy series created by Liz Feldman. It is a Netflix Original series released in May 2019. A year later, the second season was released in May 2020. The show is a dark, tragic comedy that revolves around Jen and Judy and their growing friendship. Jen is a real estate agent who recently lost her husband, Ted, in a hit-and-run case. She is struggling with her loss and uses therapy, exercise, and other methods to do so. As a result, she becomes angry and uses resentment to vent out her grief. She also tries to investigate any car that she suspects might have killed her husband.
Jen meets Judy in a grief support group, who is upset for her fiance’s death due to a heart attack. However, in reality, Judy is the same hit-and-run driver who killed Ted, and her fiance had broken up with her. The two women deal with their own struggles. Jen delves into a dark place while Judy tries to stay positive. It leads them to become friends, and they establish a deep bond. Subsequently, Judy moves in with Jen and helps her in solving Ted’s accident. Later, Judy confesses to Jen about killing Ted.
