Creators will not remove this Most Hated Money Heist Character, Here’s Why

Money Heist has taken the world by storm as people are binge-watching season four of La Casa De Papel amid COVID-19 lockdown that has forced people to stay in their home. The popularity of the Money Heist season 4 is such that it is on its way to becoming the most popular tv show to air on Netflix this year, surpassing Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness that was released couple for weeks before Money Heist.

Although, season 5 of Money Heist has not been announced yet as Netflix monitors the performance of TV series for a month before committing to next season. Apparently, seeing the success of Season 4, Netflix will surely release season 5 of La Casa De Papel next year. Also, season 4 ended up in a cliffhanger which further suggests that there will be another season to complete the heist in Bank of Spain.

People loved every plot and every character featured in Money Heist, except one. Yes, you guessed it right! The cringy character of Arturo played by Enrique Arce is most hated by fans. They hate him so much that social media is flooded with fans’ requests to remove Arturo from further appearance in forthcoming seasons.

The actor is part of Money Heist since season 1. He was appointed as general director of the Royal Mint of Spain before the heist took place. He is featured in all the three seasons and ignites anger and disgust with his presence in every episode, thanks to his selfish, idiotic, and cringy behavior. Due to his irritating behavior and several attempts of heroics, he got shot in the leg by Manila in Bank of Spain in season 3. Will Arturo feature in Money Heist season 5?

As of now, creators have no plan to remove Arturo from the show as they believe his existence is important for the TV show. Money Heist Creators believe that Arturo signifies meanness that resonates with all of us. Although his actions might be crazy, risky, and surprising but they are funny and important for the show.

Executive producer Jesús Colmenar said, “He represents the meanness within all of us. You recognise certain base passions of the viewers themselves in Arturo – and that’s why you can’t stand him.” Executive producer Esther Martinez Lobato added, “He’s just so deplorable, you feel like adopting him.”

“Everything he does is really crazy, risky and surprising, that makes it funny,” Martinez adds. “He’s abominable, but you love to hate him,” executive producer Javier Gomez Santander added. Arce echoed similar sentiments when he said, “He’s the most human. And it makes us really mad when our shame is pointed out to us.”
