Code Geass is a Japanese sci-fi mecha anime series produced by Sunrise, directed by Goro Taniguchi, and written by Ichiro Okouchi.
The franchise gained popularity after only releasing two seasons of 25 episodes each, and the anime was also later adapted into manga and light novels which gave an alternative take on the anime.
Season 2 of Code Geass released quite a while ago and now fans are wondering if there will ever be a third season, here’s what we know of the matter so far.
Will Code Geass have a Third Season?
After the premiering of season 2, we have received no information on the third season, even the production team is being really quiet about it. The good news is that season 3 is not totally off the charts, meaning it hasn’t been canceled publicly yet.
So far we have nothing, not a trailer, no announcements, not even any speculation. All we can do is wait hopefully for Code Geass Season 3.
Season 2 released 12 years ago, but all hope is not lost since the franchise released a movie in February last year called Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection, which has given fans hopes of more content to come their way, possibly a season 3.
Code Geass Season 3 Possible Storyline
The lead character of the show is Lelouch, a Holy Britannian Prince. Following a plethora of terrible incidents, he along with his sister decides to go into hiding from the world into area 11, which is inhabited by people called “the Elevens”.
It is during his exile that Lelouch is blessed by a woman with the Geass power, which allows him to control anyone he pleases, but only one at a time.
Lelouch uses this power to create an army and start a rebellion against the Holy Brittanian Empire and ends up stealing the Knightmare Frame, a mecha robot.
Politics, strategy, and super-powered beings all make the story really intriguing, and hopefully, season 3 will not disappoint in that area.
Where Can One Watch It?
The Code Geass anime is available to stream on Hulu while it’s spin-off movie can be streamed on Netflix.
