City on a hill season 2 is finally making its another sequence on the series, on 2nd August 2019; the production SHOWTIME on the series declared openly about the renewal of the second season on City On A Hill but; the exact release date is not yet revealed by them.
The season 2 is foreseen to fall by June 2020 likewise, the first season vented in the June and July months in the year 2019; but the existing situation reversed the entire entertainment industry and also influenced the production of the series in many ways.

City on a hill is an American crime drama television series which is directed by Charlie Maclean. The first episode aired on 7th July 2019 on Showtime network. The plot revolves in the 1990s in Boston, where Decourcy Ward, an assistant district attorney from Brooklyn comes to Boston. He was flush with harsh criminals emboldened by restricted law enforcement agencies in which fraud and racism was the standard and called Boston Miracle. He formed an uncertain partnership with a corrupt yet respected FBI vet; Jacke Rohr. Jointly they work and take on a family of armoured car robbery in a case that grows to involve and ultimately devalue the entire illegal justice system of Boston.
The very interesting fact about this drama is the story is based on real events in Boston which shows partially real facts about the drama.
One of the presidents of Entertainment showtime network Inc, Gary Levine talked about ”the second season on City on a hill is that addictive kind of meaty and messy show we love at showtime with the inspired pairing of Kevin Bacon and Aldis Hodge and also the incredible writing of Tom Fontana and Chuck MacLean; we believe there is a rich future for this compelling series” as the President of the production made his talks on the renewal; so the only thing we have to do is wait.
Even Jill Hennessy tweeted about the arrival of season 2 on City on a hill. So hopefully; we can expect the second sequel to be broadcast by the end of 2021 or early 2022.
