Look of PlayStation Controller
Six months ago, Hishiaki Nishino, the Senior Vice President of Platform Planning and Management, PlayStation revealed the look of PS 5 Controller. The look was shared before the implementation of its design. Nishino, via Blog, said, “we’re starting to ship our new controller in its final design to developers who are implementing its unique features into their games. But first, we wanted everyone in the PlayStation community to get a first look at the Dual Sense wireless controller…”
Moreover, the game controller of PlayStation 4 was called the best PlayStation controller yet. Hence, it is obvious that PlayStation must have tried to make the new Dual Sense Wireless Controller above the PS 4 standards.
Features of PlayStation 5 Controller
The major feature of PS 5 Controller, that the new generation is highly excited about, is its Dual Sense feature. Sony’s president Jim Ryan said, “Dual Sense marks a radical departure from our previous controller offerings and captures just how strongly we feel about making a generational leap with PS 5.”
Moreover, the new PS 5 controller has adapted Haptic feedback that can give you the physical sense and feeling of immersion into the game. So now if you drive your car through mud, you’ll be able to feel the slow grittiness. Also, you can feel the exact tension of your actions because of the Adapted triggers. For instance, you can feel the stress in your hands when you draw a bow to shoot an arrow.
In addition, the new PS 5 Controller has replaced the Share option with a Create button. Hence, you can Create Buttons yourself.
The Dual Sense PS 5 Controller has a Built-in Microphone array. It will allow you to talk or chat with other players directly. You will not need a headset for the same.
Extra Features of Play Station 5 Controller
- The new PS 5 Controller has a single basic colour and two-toned design.
- The position of the light bar has also been shifted. It used to be on the top of the controller, now it’s on each side of the touchpad.
At last, Hideaki Nishino said, “Our goal with Dual Sense is to give gamers the feeling of being transported into the game world as soon as they open the box. We want gamers to feel like the controller is an extension of themselves when they’re playing – so much so that they forget that it’s even in their hands!”
