Caliphate Season 2: When will Netflix release it? Here’s what we know

Caliphate season 1 had initially released on January 12, 2020. The show had made internationally available via Netflix in the month March 2020 and fans immediately loved the entire concept of this show. But till now it has not been updated for a renewal.

Created by Wilhelm Behrman, Caliphate is a Swedish show, and Goran Kapetanović has directed this eight-part tv series. The play deals with several themes ranging from religious extremism, Islamophobia, to human rights. As the first season of Caliphate was the most-viewed series ever on SVT Play, fans are eyeing on the release of the second season.

The story of the series is inspired by the real-life case of the Bethnal Green Trio. Three teenage girls from London in February 2015 meet jihad recruiters at their high school. Fatima is a Swedish Security Service agent. The second teenager, Pervin is a young Swedish woman who is brought to Syria. Sulle is a teenager who is groomed by the Islamic State/ISIL and she is highly opinionated.

Caliphate Season 2: When will it happen?

The second season of Caliphate has not received a green light yet. But owing to the success of the first season, we can expect it to come for a second season. We hope for its early renewal.

The cast is likely to include

  • Amed Bozan as Husam,
  • and Aliette Opheim as Fatima.
  • Albin Grenholm as Calle
  • Nora Rios as Sulle and
  • Amanda Sohrabi as Kerima.

Caliphate season 2: Plot

Season one of Caliphate had developed three plotlines of these three teenagers. Omar had shot Pervin makes an attempt to shoot Husam. But Fatima arrives and makes an aim at him and shoots him. After this, they make it outside Raqqa. But we see that Pervin dies just after crossing the border post. We wait to see what will happen next.
