Caliphate Season 2: Caliphate is a Swedish show produced by Niklas Rockstrom and Wilhelm Behrman. The show saw its launch in January 2020 on SVT and it was also nominated for the TV Fond Prize and Nordisk Film. Its fame rose in its takeover by Netflix. It saw its next release this March. This show is an 8-part play that will deal with the complicated radicalization method of ISIS recruitment.
The Release Date for Caliphate Season 2
The first season of Caliphate was premiered on 20th March 2020, on Netflix. The interesting part was that all the episodes were launched on the day the show was launched.
According to the sources, in an interview with Variety, Wilhelm Behrman spoke that he is going to work on different projects as of now. In the next immediate interview with TV Fond & Nordisk Film, a person asked him whether the second season is on the border, to which Wilhelm responded by saying that – Well, I don’t know. We have 1 – 2 new projects in our hands right now. It is much more fun to work on new stuff instead of the second season or more.
The Cast for Caliphate Season 2
The cast of Caliphate season 2 includes –

We can expect the original cast to make a comeback if there are any updates on season 2 shooting.
The Plot for Caliphate Season 2
The first season of the Caliphate plans for a terror attack in Sweden by ISIS. Swedish intelligence operator gets intel on the recruitment and attacks one of the women who is concerned in the same attack to her side for a safe crossing out of their country. Parvin should risk by lying to her husband, who appears to command this attack, to collect the data from him without getting caught.
The scheme now will depend on Ibbe being trying to change all four women whom she requested to sacrifice their lives to achieve the mission. She will be trying to manage these women by making them assume that his beliefs are followed by their religion and that they are sacrificing their lives for a prominent purpose.
If at all there is a release of next season for Caliphate then we suspect it to direct on those problems that were highlighted in the first season. (Radicalization theme), and in season 2 it can continue to be explored additionally.
