Bojack Horseman Season 7, Is series canceled after Season 6?

Bojack Horseman

Bojack Horseman’s sixth, and probably also it was last season concluded in January earlier this year.

Bojack Horseman is an adult animated series created by Raphael Bob-Waksberg. Set in Los Angeles, the show follows the story of Bojack Horseman, who is a forgotten star of a 90’s sitcom and is planning a return to fame through writing his autobiography.

Throughout six seasons and 77 episodes, the show has gathered quite a fan following, and the current question on everyone’s mind is whether there will be the seventh season.

Bojack Horseman Season 7 Speculations

Netflix has stated that season 6 of Bojack will be its last one, meaning that season 6’s final episode is also the show’s last. But that doesn’t stop fans from having hope even some sources have vaguely suggested that the show may return for a final season, season 7, which will end the character’s arc.

As for continuity, the season 6 finale leaves the door open for another season, with Princess Carolyn’s career steadily growing, Mr.Peanutbutter becoming a TV sensation, and Bojack ending up in jail.

Why Was Season 7 Cancelled?

Series creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg had confirmed in an interview that although he wanted to continue with the show, Netflix gave him a heads up shortly after the first half of season 6 to conclude the show’s story. This gives fans hope since we now know that the decision to cancel the show was Netflix’s and that the show might continue if it chooses to partner with some other streaming service.

Bojack Horseman Season 7 Potential Release Date

With season 6 coming to an end only recently, and because the idea for season 7 hasn’t even gotten the green light, much less begun filming, it will be quite some time before we get to see the next season of Bojack. Even if Netflix does decide to renew the show for another season, production won’t begin until the COVID-19 situation is under control. Assuming that all goes to plan and the show does get renewed, we will have to wait at least until 2022 before we get to see it.

Bojack Horseman Cast

  • Will Arnett as BoJack Horseman,
  • Alison Brie as Diane Nguyen,
  • Aaron Paul as Todd Chavez,
  • Paul F. Tompkins playing Mr Peanutbutter, and
  • Amy Sedaris as Princess Carolyn.

One might easily recognize Aaron Paul as Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad. Honestly, who wouldn’t?
