Bodyguard – a British political-thriller TV show written and presented by Jed Mercurio. It was produced for the BBC by World Productions as part of ITV Studios.
WHAT IS THE STORY ABOUT?
War ex-soldier David Budd determines work as a police cop with London’s Metropolitan Police Service (LMPS), in the Authority and Specialist Protection (SP) branch. He will be allotted to guard the home superintendent, the Rt. Hon. Julia Montague MP, a provocative and aspiring politician who can be called as the sociopath by one of her assistants, and has ideas to begin trespassing inspection authorities for security forces.
Seeing himself frequently at overlays with Montague’s personality and policies, and also dealing with psychological and physical injuries from his time working in Afghanistan, active Budd is split between his mission to protect and his beliefs.
IS THERE SEASON 2 FOR BODYGUARD?
Of course, it has. There is no doubt whether Bodyguard part II is proceeding, but what matters is when will it air. Also, why there won’t be a season 2? As the most-watched UK play, the BBC and Mercurio might be horrifyingly driving away money in the case if it did not launch. If there was no coronavirus outbreak impact on the production of Line of Duty, we can predict that the production on Bodyguard’s 2nd season could have already begun at the end of 2020, for a 2021 launch date. If it was not all thoughts then the risk of the television business at an instant will not be promoting season 2’s launch.
WHAT IS SHOWMAKERS’ VIEW?
Jed Mercurio (the show’s director) in 2019 had renewed the onlookers of the series about part 2 of the show. Taking his social media account, he said that the progress of part II of the police political show has kicked a roadblock. He is figuring out the ways to bypass abolishing the cabinet minister in the initial five minutes.
If season 2 of Bodyguard falls, then the fans and viewers of the police show need to wait a little longer to see the upcoming season. Currently, Jed Mercurio is quite busy with his schedule, and as he had already pledged himself to season 6 of his other popular show, the Line Of Duty. And the main lead of Bodyguard, Richard Madden, is likewise busy with his other schedules.
