There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Black Summer ever since its first season released back in April, 2019. As soon as it released, it was able to garner a lot of attention. Thanks to the effort put in by the show’s producers, Karl Schaefer and John Hyams, the series is making the ultimate return on the small screen. According to a recent report, the show is going to be re-launched. While this announcement was already made back in November, 2019, there has not been a lot of development around the production of the show or news since then. However, it seems like we can finally expect some updates coming up from this end.
BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE
There have not been too many updates regarding when the show will start filming for the second season, let alone when the show will release its second season. Due to the current Coronavirus situation, a lot of filming plans have faced delayed. No one is spared. Therefore, it seems like even if there are numerous plans in the hatching regarding the second season of Black Summer, they may have faced the inevitable delay over the same.
BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2 PLOT
One of the main reasons why Black Summer has ended up garnering so much fame is due to the fact that it is essentially linked with another series called Z-Nation. For those who are not aware, Z-Nation essentially follows the storyline that is made famous through themes of zombie apocalypse. As far as Z-Nation is concerned, it ended up being such a major hit that we were able to see five, vast seasons to the series. The drama did not stop and it went on for a journey of five seasons. The fifth one ended on a good note and things went ahead well.
BLACK SUMMER SEASON 2 CAST MEMBERS
Once again, there has been no confirmation when it comes to Black Summer. However, at the same time, it is highly speculated that Jaime King will be returning to the show. Along with King, we also have Justin Chu Cary, Christine Lee, Sal Velez Jr., and Kelsey Flower – who will positively be joining the series. We are yet to receive further updates regarding the same. We are expected to hear from the production team soon.
As far as the teaser of the upcoming season is concerned, we are yet to see it. However, we can confirm that the second season is in the making and it is expected to consist of 8 episodes. The series is further expected to take us on another journey of zombie revelation. We are introduced during the series to the show’s main character, Rose who is shown to be separated from Anna. The two of them end up embarking on an adventure but are trying to find different ways through which they can make it back to their home and not be called North American immigrants.
