Black Panther II
With the release of Black Panther in 2018, producer Kevin Feige said that there are many stories to tell. He hinted towards the potential sequel of the movie. By 2018, the sequel was announced to be under development. But, in August 2020, we lost Chadwick to cancer that no one was aware of, not even the developers of Black Panther. They had planned the new story according to Boseman’s character. Prior to his death, filming was supposed to begin in March 2021 and released in May 2022.
Now, Disney and Marvel’s studios have come up with a new angle to the story. According to the reports, developers are planning to kill T’Challa on screen as well. The rumour is, Wakanda will have a funeral for their king. Subsequently, T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) will take up the Black Panther mantle.
Apparently, fans love this idea. They have been appreciating and supporting the possible plot. Also, fans say that it is the most respected and logical thing to do. Clearly, no one wants the king to be replaced. As a result, people have started petitions demanding Marvel to not re-cast the black panther.
