Teens are increasingly attracted to movies these days, directors are also inclined towards making teen-oriented movies, trying to convey social messages, awareness, and information. In fact, Netflix has in store a lot of teenage series and movies which are sure-shot watch. There are a few recommendations to binge-watch.
Sex Education
A hilarious British high school dramedy, following the lives, loves, and sexual journeys of the students of Moordale High. With some nuanced cast of characters and management of some complex social issues, the show dealt with the most common teenage and adulting issues that every teen comes across. A third round of the SE is on the pipeline. Teens, do watch the show to clear your doubts if you have any.
Stranger Things
A series that needs no introduction at all. An instant hit when it released in 2016, Stranger Things draws influence from Spielberg and Stephen King. A masterpiece with exceptional product design, mesmerizing soundtrack, and impeccable costume design. If you haven’t watched it yet, go check it out.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and To All the Boys: PS I Love You
One of the most common shows streaming on Netflix. A teenage rom-com portraying chemistry between Condor and Noah Centino. To All the Boys and its sequel are must-watch for those with a romantic heart and you will not regret it. The good news is a third edition is in the cards.
All The Bright Places
Based on a popular YA novel written by Jennifer Niven, All the Bright Places is a tear-jerking, emotionally-charged romantic teen drama casting Elle Fanning and Justice Smith. The movie is about two troubled high school teens who establishes a relationship while attempting to overcome their demons in Indiana. An incredible show that will surely uplift your mental health and hygiene.
Warrior Nun
An orphaned teen wakes up in a morgue and finds out that she now possesses superpowers as the chosen Halo Bearer for a secret sect of demon-hunting nuns. A good show if you are a classic TV lover. A second installment of the same is on the news.
Step Sisters
Step Sisters is a witty comedy show about a Black sorority leader who agrees to help of a group of sisters at a white sorority to win a step dance championship. A more of a female movie but it will give you a good amount of fun, and laughter.
Work It
See You Yesterday
This time-traveling sci-fi adventure was produced by Spike Lee, unwrapping suspense, drama, and excitement all in one go. It touches on lots of relevant social issues especially in the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement. A good series to watch if you are interested in time-travel.
