Well after a lot of delays, there’s finally some news about the release date for Avatar 2.
Avatar which came in 2009 had taken the world by storm at that time with it’s amazing, mind-blowing CGI and portrayal of Pandora, the planet where the movie was set in.
Later Avatar 2 was confirmed. Earlier there were a lot of rumours regarding the release, it was said that it was coming in 2014. But now it has been more than ten years since the first Avatar movie, and we still haven’t seen any Avatar 2. Also, there was news that Avatar 3, 4, and 5 which will also be released, all before 2020.
The production team has said that the movie is finally going to releases and the wait would have been worth it, and honestly, we agree.
Avatar one was the highest-grossing movie of all time in the Box Office for a whopping ten years before Avengers Endgame knocked it out, and it was so for a good reason. Now that a release date had been announced, here’s all you need to know about the upcoming sequel.
Avatar 2 Plot:
As for the plot, filmmaker David Cameron has stated that each of the Avatar sequels will have a plot of their own, which does not depend on any of it’s prequels. This means that someone who hasn’t seen Avatar 1 will still be able to understand and enjoy Avatar 2 or even Avatar 3. Since the characters might be recurring, each movie will cover a different aspect of the world.
Avatar 2 will be set several years after the events of its prequel, and will show Sully and Neytiri as rulers of their clan. Some say the story might be focussed on the adventures of their children.

Avatar 2 Release Date:
Avatar 2 is all set to release on December 16, 2022, after being delayed several times. The most recent of which was it’s a shift from December 2021 to December 2022. The movie was initially set to release in 2014, with the next three sequels all planned for consecutive years. It seems now that instead of seeing Avatar 5 in theatres in 2018 we’ll be waiting for 2022 for just Avatar 2.
