Avatar 2 is an upcoming American science fiction film which is directed by James Cameron and produced by 20th Century Studios. After Avatar, which was released in 2009, the second part will come soon. Jon Landau is the producer of the film, Josh Friedman is known as his co-writer of James Cameron.
The actors of Avatar 2 are Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang, Giovanni Ribisi, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, CCH Pounder, and Matt Gerald are all having the same roles as in the first film, Sigourney Weaver is having a different role. New actors are Kate Winslet, Cliff Curtis, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Michelle Yeoh, Jemaine Clement, Oona Chaplin, CJ Jones, and Vin Diesel.
When will Avatar 2 appear on the screens?
In 2006, Cameron had told that he would like to make sequels to Avatar if it was successful. He announced the first two sequels after seeing the worldwide success of the first film. Avatar 2 was set for a 2014 release, but it didn’t happen as expected, due to the addition of three sequels and to develop technology enough to film underwater led to delays. It gave more time to the crew for writing and visual effects. According to the reports on July 23, 2020, the film is said to be released by December 16, 2020. The three more sequels are said to be released on December 20, 2024, December 18, 2026, and December 22, 2028, respectively.
The shooting for the film started in Manhattan Beach, California on August 15, 2017, then after leading to principal photography at the same time with Avatar 3 in New Zealand on September 25, 2017. After three years of shooting, filming ended in late September 2020
What will be the story?
13 years after the story of Avatar, Jake Sully and Neytiri together make a family and are doing anything to stay together. They are, however, forced to leave their home and discover and travel around the different places of Pandora region because of an old threat that returns to finish what it started.
