An American crime procedural TV series is The Animal Kingdom. Jonathan Lisco is the producer of this crime and family drama series. On Amazon Prime, one can watch it. The show is based on the premise of Animal Kingdom, an Australian film made in 2010. The producer and writer of the popular Animal Kingdom show are David Michod.
Season one began on the 14th of June 2016 and finished on the 9th of August 2016. On May 30, 2017, season two of the Animal Kingdom TV series began. It consists of 13 episodes and on August 29, 2017, it went off-air. Seasons three and four both have 13 episodes as well. On May 29, 2018, season three began and concluded on August 21, 2018. And the fourth season premiered on May 28, 2019, and ended on August 20, 2019. Fans are hoping for the fifth season now.
Animal Kingdom season 5: Release date!
The series got support from the audience and recognition. This mystery thriller follows a fantastic fan. We highly recommend the first four seasons. And now, viewers are curious whether or not season five is going to happen. Highly expected is the next part of the story.
The good news for the viewers is that TNT has announced season five in July 2019. Animal Kingdom season five is scheduled to be released in May 2020. But the fifth instalment has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. There are no signs indicating that this year’s much-anticipated fifth season will be telecast. Plus, Season 5’s entire production schedule has also been pushed back. So, for starters, we don’t know when the shooting will take place in the near future.
The previous season was estimated to have seen a small decline in the television ratings and the producers were sceptical about reinvesting their confidence in Season 5. However, for the fifth time on TNT, they have agreed to carry back Animal Kingdom. In addition, they have not yet issued their formal declaration concerning the release of the forthcoming fifth season. But the probability of its launch next year should not be overlooked.
Animal Kingdom season 5: Plot!
The plot of the animal kingdom show revolves around a seventeen-year-old boy, played by Finn Cole, named Joshua. Joshua moves in with his family, the Codys, following the death of his mother. In comparison, Codys is a delinquent household headed by Smurf. Also, Joshua is joining the business. A cop, Leckie, is trying to help Joshua get out of this dirty business. After that, we see Smurf being shot dead at the end of season four.
Smurf’s death has opened several avenues for the show’s production. There is no question that in raising the image of the Animal Kingdom in the television world, the character of Smurf played an enormous part. So, satisfying the giant-sized hole left by her character would be a monumental challenge for the creators.
In addition, it has also been rumoured that Joshua’s character will be developed and explored at a different level. Seeing how his character turns out at the conclusion of the fifth season is going to be very fun.
