The new bugs have arrived to the Animal Crossing: New Horizons this October. If you are looking to fill up the NookPhone’s Critterpedia with these bugs before they crawl away, keep reading.
The set of bugs will differ for players in Southern Hemisphere to those in Northern Hemisphere. The Southerners will find more variety than the northerners with 10 new bugs in their region.
New Bugs in the Northern Hemisphere
Ladybug
Only one new addition is coming to the Northern Hemisphere this one, and it will leave by the time this month ends, to arrive in spring once again. The ladybug is worth 200 bells, but you can sell it to Flick for 300 bells. You can find it on flowers between 8am and 5pm.
New Bugs in the Southern Hemisphere
Common Bluebottle
This is quite a common bug worth 300 bells when you sell it at Nook’s Cranny and 450 bells when you sell it to Flick. The Common Bluebottle is black and teal butterfly and you will find it at the flowers between 4am and 7pm. It is available till February.
Agrias Butterfly
This is a scarce species, and once you get it you can earn whopping 3000 bells, or 4500 bells if you sell it to Flick. Agrias Butterfly is purple and pink in color and will be seen till March on sunny days, from 8am to 5pm.
Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing
This one is a rare butterfly again. It flies around flowers between 8am to 5pm. Rajah Brooke’s Birdwing has black with green-spotted triangular wings. You can earn 2500 bells, or if you sell it to Flick, you can earn 3750 bells. It is available in winter and in March.
Atlas Moth
Atlas Moth is brown and orange in colour and is a rare one. It is worth at 3000 bells at Nook’s Cranny and at the Flick for 4500 bells. You will find this on trees between 7pm to 4am. It will be available till March.
Madagascan Sunset Moth
It is available between 8am and 4pm at the flowers. It is green, black, and orange moth. You can sell it for 2500 bells, and 3750 bells at Flick. It camouflages and it is available till March.
Long Locust
This one is a common catch. You can sell it for 200 bells at Nook’s Cranny and 300 bells at the Flick. It is green in color and is available between 8am and 7pm on the ground. It is available till May.
Darner Dragonfly
This one is fairly common and is available till April. You can sell it for 230 bells, and at the Flick for 345 bells. It is green, black, and blue in color and is found at water between 8am and 5pm.
Giant Water Bug
It is a common bug but is worth quite high. You will find it floating near water. You can sell it for 2000 bells at Nook’s Cranny or 3000 bells at Flick. It is found between 7pm and 8am and is available till March.
Jewel Beetle
This one is rare and is available till February. Jewel Beetle is green with red stripes and you can find it on tree stumps at all times At Nook’s Cranny it is sold for 2400 bells, and at Flick for 3600 bells.
Flea
It is a scarce one. You can find it throughout the day on villagers. You can sell it for 70 bells to Nook’s Cranny, or 105 bells to Flick.
