Milano is the daughter of Lin Milano, fashion designer and talent manager and Thomas M. Milan, film-music editor. Milano and Cory, her brother, belong to the Italian lineage. Milano was brought up in Roman Catholic. In 2004 she was diagnosed with dyslexia. She moved to a house in Bell Canyon, California from the condominium in West Hollywood.
