Better Call Saul will be coming back for a sixth and final season, AMC confirms. Prequel to the infamous Breaking Bad series, the show more than does its parent series justice.
Focussed on Saul Goodman’s life as James Mcgill, much before the events of Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul brilliantly tells the stories of Saul, Mike, and Gustavo Fring, all prominent characters in Breaking Bad. The show depicts a side of these characters as we’ve never seen before, and perfectly shows us the transition of honest and hardworking James McGill to the cunning and sleazy Saul Goodman we all know and love.
Not only does this show cover the events that happened before Walter White took the mantle of Heisenberg, but the first few minutes of every episode also show us the current state and whereabouts of Saul Goodman after he had to flee Albuquerque.
With 5 beautifully directed seasons to its name, the show will be ending its story with a final sixth season, possibly tying up the events leading up to Breaking Bad. We wouldn’t be too surprised if Bryan Cranston’s Walter White ends up making an appearance in the final episodes.

Release Date
No official release date has been announced. The pandemic has most likely caused unforeseen delays, and it would be too soon to predict a time of release right now. Do not expect it to be anytime before April 2021.
Better Call Saul Season 6 Plot
Season 5 was focussed on the conflict between Gus Fring and Lalo, with Gus Fring under increasing pressure from Lalo. He is seeking revenge on Fring. Fring recruits Nacho as an undercover goon in Lalo’s operation and asks him to compromise the security inside Lalo’s house so a team of his assassins can finally put an end to him. The mission fails, however, and Lalo, realizing what had happened, sets out on a warpath before the season finale comes to an end.
Season 6 will probably showcase the repercussions of Fring’s attack on Lalo. This attack will probably also put Saul and Kim in Lalo’s crosshairs, along with Nacho, Mike, and Fring himself. The fact that Saul, Mike, and Fring are alive in Breaking Bad confirms that they will live through the ensuing conflict. But the fates of non-Breaking Bad characters such as Kim and Nacho are but anyone’s guess. Nacho will probably be the first person Lalo comes after, considering he used to have complete faith in him and even introduced him to his family before being betrayed by him.
Fans are even hoping that Better Call Saul’s final season might somehow transition into the first breaking bad episode, with Bryan Cranston reprising his role as Walter White, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Even Cranston has stated that if the writers want him to be in the show, he’d be up for it.
