The second season of After Life has left a major cliff-hanger and it’s time to rectify that.
The second season of After Life released in April 2020. It was a dramatic short-lived journey that has left a hole in the heart of its viewers. As all will possibly agree, the third episode ended up leaving upon an ambiguous note. We were able to see that Tony is still struggling when it comes to coping with his grief. It was noticed how there was a little bit of hope waiting for him, but that hasn’t exactly helped him out. Fans are wondering if they should treat this as the end of the story. There is a possibility that we might see more of the eccentric residents of Tambury. Turns out, Netflix has ended confirmed another season for After Life. The upcoming installment is reportedly already in development.
Because so many of you watched #AfterLife2 so quickly and made it Number 1 again, the nice people at @Netflix have suggested that I get off my fat arse and do another season. This is all your fault. pic.twitter.com/NDD2gGnFXx

It goes without saying that Netflix has ended up wrapping a lot of projects in the recent past. Along with that, we have the actor Ricky Gervais who has also ended up limiting himself to projects. We have seen many seasons who have met their demise with shows like The Office, Extras and Derek biting the dust. However, it was great of Ricky to confirm via Twitter that he is available for another season of After Life. He further stated that he is happy to be a part of it, as far as the audience is demanding it.
Further, in an interview to RadioTimes.com, he stated, “For the first time ever, I would do a series three, because the world’s so rich. I love the characters, I love all the actors in it, I love my character, I love the town, I love the themes, I love the dog. So I would do a third, but it’s got to be a real demanded-for encorse. I’m not gonna just do it. I wouldn’t do it for the sake of it. I wouldn’t do it just to get paid, or because Netflix wants another three hours on their platform. It’s got to be that people really want more. It’s a really daunting task, a third series, so it’s really got to be wanted.”
