Afterlife is a Netflix original series and they announced the news for the second season by a Twitter post which reads a quote from Ricky Gervais:
“I have never had a reaction like this before. It’s been insane. And heartwarming.“But now I have to make sure the second season is even better so I’ll probably have to work much harder than usual. Annoying really.”

is a British black comedy-drama web television series. It aired on 8th March 2019 on Netflix and the second series came on 24th April 2020. On 6th May 2020, the renewal of After Life for a third series began.

Plot
After Life revolves around Tony who is a newspaper journalist whose wife lost her life in and now he copes with that trauma by deciding to say and do whatever he likes, whatever the condition is. Later another journalist Ricky Gervais’ dark comedy make him remember his beloved wife Lisa (Kerry Godliman) and then he started feeling depressed and suicidal. She died due to breast cancer. Tony became arrogant and rude but finds himself by the kindness of the people around him.
He also starts thinking that he has some sort of “superpower”, overall It is a type of fictional town of Tambury, where Tony is a journalist at the local free newspaper, the Tambury Gazette.
