“A Discovery of Witches” written by Deborah Harkness is a fantasy series based on the similarly-named novel of the “All Souls” trilogy. There’s a witch/historian Diana Bishop who discovered a bewitched manuscript in the Bodleian library. As she attempts to unravel the secrets this book holds about magic. Read below the full premises.
Plot:
Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) is a historian who discovers a mysterious manuscript in Oxford’s Bodleian Library, which represents an unwelcome intrusion of magic into her ordinary life. This is precisely what Bishop, a descendant of a long line of witches had been trying to avoid. Still, such was not the case, as the discovery attracted the attention of all kinds of mystical creatures such as daemons and vampires. Among the animals attracted to Diana is vampire Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode), a biochemist also interested in studying the manuscript. The two grow fond of each other whilst also trying to keep each other safe from other interested parties, and a romance starts blooming between the duo.
Season 2 might show us the consequences of this most unusual pair-up and the domino of events that may follow.

A Discovery of Witches Season 2 Release date:
The second season of the show, expected to premiere in January 2021, although an exact date has not specified. Fortunately for the viewers, production and filming of the show has completed in December of 2019, before the global pandemic put a halt to everything. Post-production, however, remains and might be a cause for the delay as it requires integrating special effects. With the first season premiering in September of 2018, the show will return after more than 2 years!
