After a pretty long wait, TeCake comes to know that AMC’s A Discovery of Witches has been renewed for two more seasons. Yes, Discovery of Witches Season 2 and 3 are in the works after the first chapter of the show, based on Deborah Harkness’s All Souls literary trilogy, which became Sky One’s most successful drama of 2018. Moreover, creators also announced that series would be going to be broadcast in early 2021. Hence, it is sure that there will be a season 2 for the series.

It has been critically praised for its recent plot and the marvellous play by the characters and it also has been chosen for various prestigious awards.
THE RELEASE DATE FOR SEASON 2 – DISCOVERY OF WITCHES
A Discovery of Witches – part II has been declared to be released on Sky One in January 2021 in the United Kingdom, almost a year after shooting is wrapped.
According to Farren Blackburn (the director), season 2 covered shooting in late January this year, and when it is meant it eluded the
shooting restrictions of the COVID-19 lockdown seems the production closedown may have delayed post-production and editing on the show.
THE CAST FEATURING FOR SEASON 2 – DISCOVERY OF WITCHES
The cast might remain the same as in the previous season. The cast involves –
Matthew Goode as Matthew Clairmont,
Louise Brealey acting as Gillian Chamberlain,
Teresa Mary Palmer as Diana Bishop, and
Edward Bluemel is acting as Marcus Whitmore.
Even though the creators have not yet settled any new characters. But according to the sources, Michael Jibson and Tom Huges could be on board for the forthcoming part. They will be performing the lines of Emperor Rudolf II and Kit Marlowe, respectively. The crew may even star James Purefoy as Philippe De Clermont and Steven Cree as Gallowglass De Clermont.

There were talks about the show’s second part also announced we could expect that a third season can also get greenlit, based on the last part in the All Souls trilogy: The Book of Life.
WHAT WILL THE VIEWERS GET TO SEE?
Given the end of the first season, it looks like. The new series will be following this plot closely, same as with the first one there can be few alterations including a unique subplot that displays Ysabeau joining forces with Diana’s witch aunts.
Back during the current day, Diana’s favourite aunts, Em and Sarah, should take the screen with wicked witch-hunter Ysabeau de Clermont at her old home, Sept-Tours is what Sky told in a teaser of part II.
