The fourth season is said to be the final season of Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why Series. The season was officially announced on August 1, 2019 and got premiered on June 5, 2020. It is an American teen drama TV series created by Brian Yorkey, which is based on the 2007 novel Thirteen Reasons Why, written by Jay Asher. The series is about the high school student Clay Jensen and the story about another student Hannah Baker’s suicide. She leaves a box of cassette tapes in which she explains all the reasons why she chose to end her life.
What happens in 13 Reasons Why Season 4?
Liberty High School’s senior class gets ready for graduation, but of course before they can finally say goodbye to each other and their school, they would have to keep a dangerous secret buried, whilst making heartbreaking choices that may effect their futures forever.
The most shocking and heartbreaking part of 13 Reasons Why’s final season was how Justin Foley’s story came to an end. With the series going on, Justin started to hold more meaning as it was found about his disturbed home life and heroin addiction. The high schooler was living on the street when Clay took him and cared for him, his family later adopted him and he decided he would get clean.
The big tragedy of this season comes during prom when Justin faints on the dance floor. Justin takes to the hospital and tests positive for HIV-1, which has already progressed into AIDS. He had contracted the condition when engaging in sex work when he was living on the streets.
What happens to clay?
Clay Jensen undergoes some serious trauma related to murder of Monty and others. He starts to make hallucinations about talking to dead characters. He goes through therapy, which really help him pull through. All of them try to protect each other from secret of the death of Bryce Walker And Monty. The story runs through each of them protecting each other and covering up the murder from everyone. Winston tries to be friendly and get to know them but at last he understands why it had to be done. He understands their friendship and doesn’t harm them even after knowing the truth. The series ends with all of them graduating from High School.
